Residential Fire Alarm Systems

Candles, Electrical Faults, Lightning, Kitchen Accidents, Smoking...

All can, unfortunately, cause fires. Victims of a fire would probably tell you they did not plan on it happening to them. When you and your family are home sleeping, would you rely on the cheapest type of Smoke Detectors needed to meet code, to alert your family, or accomplish nothing if you are not home? Loud sounders won't scare away a fire! Anyone having been involved in a fire can tell you about its ravages. Why wouldn't you have detectors installed that are more reliable, serviceable, and can summon the Fire Department to help your family or house if no one is at home?

About Residential Fire Alarms

DB Systems does not install or service 110 volt local Smoke Detectors. 110 volt local Smoke Detectors can not be legally interfaced to your Security System. Any one who tells you otherwise is incorrect.

Smoke Detectors designed to work with your Security System are more expensive than 110 volt Smoke Detectors, but are serviceable, not disposable. We can clean them, test and verify their calibration and keep them running reliably for many years.

Burglar Alarm Systems can incorporate Fire Protection with Smoke Detectors and Heat Detectors. Even Monoxide and other environmental Monitoring Detectors such as temperature and water/flood detection are all available and can be monitored through central station. These systems are installed and maintained according to applicable codes with properly rated equipment, wire, interfacing and supervision devices.

Be aware that the State of Massachusetts Building code and Massachusetts Fire Prevention Regulations have strict requirements on detector functionality and locations.
